Factories of the Future Expo at Manchester Central Convention Complex 4-5th April
Within the last twelve months, there has been a growing awareness of Industry 4.0. The fourth industrial revolution is coming and companies can ignore it at their peril. Today, we are showcasing our Industry 4.0 practices at the Factories of the Future Expo, which is running alongside the Industry 4.0 Summit, where keynote speakers across many industry sectors are sharing their knowledge on Industry 4 practices and trends. Being the only manufacturing company present, we have attracted a great deal of interest by demonstrating a livestream to our manufacturing plant and our smart factory monitoring screen. It is said that 98% of companies are unprepared or even unaware of Industry 4.0, Velden are proving that we are in the top 2% of progressive companies in the UK by using their in-house designed ERP system, smart factory monitoring, initiating sustainable energy practices, increasing automation and developing EDI with key customers.  We are not content to stand still however, other initiatives are being developed and further investment is planned to ensure Velden keep delivering the highest standards in line with Industry 4.0 methodologies to their customers.
