KTP Associate Joins Velden

36 Month KTP Project Begins

Following on from our recent announcement regarding our acceptance on the Knowledge Transfer Programme with Manchester Metropolitan University, we are delighted to announce the commencement of the project with the arrival of Riku Das.

A recent graduate of Software Engineering BSc at the University of Huddersfield, Riku, will be working alongside Velden and MMU on a 36-month project to further develop our in-house smart manufacturing system, Vmans.

The project involves the planning, design and development of a new system, building upon the legacy of the existing system by updating it with advanced technologies, therefore improving efficiency and functionality besides future proofing the application by using newer technologies e.g. Cloud Hosting, Machine Learning (AI) and developing an Internet of Things (IOT) framework in preparation for Velden’s further advancement into smart Industry 4.0.

“I look forward to the challenge of deciphering Vmans and developing a newer more efficient system” says Riku. Everyone at Velden is looking forward to working with him and assisting in the development of the state of the art system.
