The Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) scheme is a leading knowledge transfer programme to support business innovation.
We are delighted to have been accepted to participate in the programme as a partner to Manchester Metropolitan University. The KTP scheme has provided a successful framework to support business innovation through collaboration with a university for more than forty years.
By partnering with MMU, we have the opportunity to work with a high calibre IT graduate for three years on a project focussing on evolving our Vmans Live ERP system to a cloud based platform, which will inter-connect our other systems and utilise data for analytics and Industry 4.0 intelligence, whilst promoting a paperless environment. This project shows our on-going commitment to advancing our systems to match our vision of becoming a true smart factory, in line with Industry 4 standards.
The culmination of this project will improve data retrieval, storage and communication, whilst ensuring our cyber security is exceptional.  It  will also aid collaboration between departments and assist in the reduction of our carbon foot print, whilst promoting document control and flexibility of working practices.
